You’d think it’s impossible for Lincoln to get any bigger
than the enormous Navigator, but then it pops a surprise and gives you exactly
that in the form of the 2016 Lincoln Navigator L. It’s big, it’s wieldy, it’s
every bit as bulky as it looks outside, but also, it’s a spectacular affair on
wheels, delivering energy-efficient performance and features.
How Big is Big?
The answer to that question rests on these impressive
numbers: 24.5 cubic feet additional cargo space, 42.6 in total with all seats
folded up. Folded second and third row also adds more space, totalling a
whopping 128.2 cubic feet inside all in all.
Are you reeling from those numbers? Here’s more. It has a
3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine that comes up with 380 horsepower, towing
power of up to 9,000 pounds, six-speed automatic transmission, and a four-wheel
drive system as an upgrade to the rear-wheel drive.
Choosing Trim Levels
The Standard gets you luxurious seats that are dressed in
perforated leather upholstery, with heating and ventilation and driver’s
memory. It will also get you the Sync 3 interface with MyLincoln Touch
infotainment system, a center console, navigation system, power-adjustable
pedals, and configurable dashboard displays.
If you want to move up to the higher end selection, there’s
the Reserve, which expands the leather and adds a handsome wood trim, power
running boards, and impressive impressive set of 22-inch wheels. Making it all
the more high-end and luxurious are the dual screens for the entertainment
system and sunroof.
