Hybrids are all the rage nowadays, so it makes perfect sense
for Lincoln to dip its toes in the same waters too. The 2016 Lincoln MKZ is as
much of a hybrid as any hybrid can be. On the one hand, you can easily characterize
it as a premium sedan, and on the other, it does give you that efficient
gas-electric hybrid powertrain.
Common Factors
There are four trim levels to choose from, but at its most
basic, you will be getting a 2-liter four-cylinder and 70kW electric motor,
with 188 horsepower across the board. Transmission is CVT for all as well.
Choices and More
Now, as for the trim levels, you can choose from the
Premiere, Select, Reserve, and Black Label. They all sound very elegant, too,
which only reflects the kind of product that Lincoln has delivered with the
2016 MKZ.
The Premiere version will keep you warm and comfy with its
heated front seats, split-folding rear seat, and the MyLincoln Touch system
that features voice recognition, USB input, and iPod compatibilities. Meanwhile, the Select ups the ante with HD
radio, power-folding side mirrors, interior ambient lighting, and even options
for a power trunk and moonroof.
The Reserve will add a navigation system, more heated seats,
this time including the rear, the Technology Package, THX audio and
multi-contour active front seats, and an embedded modem. As for the very
high-end-sounding Black Label, you receive the exceptional Lincoln dealer
quality after-purchase service, such as four years of scheduled maintenance,
remote car delivery, concierge service, and free car washes.
